July 24th-27th saw the annual celebration of comics (and all the associated merch) that is San Diego Comic-Con, and some of our favourite brands were out in force!

LEGO and Bandai Namco were both there, and as usual, they had a line-up of Comic-Con exclusives, sneak previews and new releases to unveil over the weekend.

The LEGO booth even featured a LEGO-brick model of the entire convention, with the exterior of the San Diego Convention Center and fan-made interior booths built using about a quarter of a million pieces.

But we know it's the exclusives and new releases that you're here for - so what was announced at SDCC 2025?

New Releases at LEGO-Con

It was all about the bricks at the 'LEGO-Con' booth, where that scale model of the convention took centre stage.

Here are some of the other highlights from everyone's favourite brick-building brand...

LEGO Super Mario Game Boy (72046)

First impressions... this set is amazing. It's only 421 pieces, but the completed Nintendo Game Boy looks so much like the real thing and measures a near-perfect 3.5 x 5.5 inches (9 x 14 cm).

There are even brick-built game cartridges for Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. OK, it's not a functional Game Boy, but you can choose from different screen inserts with authentic graphics printed on them.

We're happy to hear that many of the logos and lettering are pre-printed bricks, so there aren't too many stickers to apply by hand.

Priced at $59.99 with a release date of October 1st 2025, this is a great-value display piece and is likely to be very popular among gamers of a certain age.

LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum (76300)

• Price: $299.99 (now available for pre-order)

• Pieces: 2,953
• Size: 32 x 25 x 26 cm (H x W x D)

This is a big one. Nearly 3,000 pieces, close to a foot long on all sides, and a massive 16 LEGO Batman Minifigures all add up to a highly collectible set that's due to ship in early September.

It comes in 24 bags, making it an easy alternative to the annual headache of trying to get your hands on the LEGO Advent Calendars. Just remember it's officially an 18+ set, so younger builders might need some help.

The completed set builds Arkham Asylum over three levels - roof, ground floor and first floor. You can access the interior, open the cells, and deliver new inmates in the included prison van.

LEGO-Con Exclusive Minifigure Factory Designs

The ever-popular LEGO Minifigure Factory gained some exclusive limited-edition LEGO-Con designs, including an "Invaders From Beyond" T-shirt and an awesome selection of Captain Brickbeard shirt designs.

LEGO Minifigure Factory is currently only available in the US and Canada, but if you're in those countries, you should receive your custom LEGO Minifigures just as fast as the rest of your LEGO.com order.

Before we move on to Bandai Namco, let's run through the rest of the LEGO SDCC 2025 announcements:

It's a Wicked-heavy line-up, with some super-cute builds, bookends, and the gorgeous Emerald City Wall Art (75685), which includes LEGO Minifigures of Elphaba and Glinda plus Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, and her little dog Toto.

Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles

Bandai Namco showcased a number of brands, with event exclusives and panel discussions for fans of some of the biggest licensed properties on the planet.

Tamagotchi

The Tamagotchi booth was the place to find new releases and Tamagotchi Collectibles including:

• Tamagotchi Collectibles Hobby Time
• Tamashii Nations Chogokin
• Tamagotchi Paradise

A line of merch was also available, including cosmetics, plushies and shirts - all great ways for fans to satisfy their nostalgia for the iconic 1990s pocket pets.

Godzilla

Bandai Namco went all out for Godzilla's 70th anniversary, with a booth build based around the concept of an abandoned kaiju fallout shelter, plus occasional in-person appearances by kaiju.

There was also a very special gift with purchase: an exclusive Godzilla poster illustrated by Tim Seeley and printed in two variants.

• Standard: GWP with Godzilla Minus One Special Gold Edition Figure, price $35.00
• Gold Print: Metallic gold poster GWP with purchases over $175.00

Just 100 Gold Print Variant posters were available, making this one of the hottest collectibles for Godzilla's 70th anniversary celebrations.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

The ever-popular Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is also celebrating a major milestone, as it reaches its 30th anniversary.

Bandai Namco honoured this at the Bandai Hobby Gundam booth, with displays and dioramas alongside the Gundam merchandise on sale to attendees.

Fans who attended Bandai Namco panels also received a goody bag: a special Gundam Wing swag bag at the Gundam Wing 30-Year Showcase panel, and an exclusive trading card and comic book at the Inside the World of Tamagotchi panel.

100% Soft x SDCC 2025

Finally, a special mention to the adorable vinyl figures available at the 100% Soft booth at SDCC 2025.

One new launch was the Galactus Soft Vinyl Figure, which shows the Devourer of Worlds from The Fantastic Four: First Steps holding a slightly nibbled, unhappy-looking Earth.

There were also some new additions to the brand's iconic line of Dumpster Fire vinyl figures, the perfect companion when a day doesn't go to plan...

With a whole bunch of other Marvel merchandise including cute pin badges, clothing and poster prints, 100% Soft is one of the brands that most definitely caught our attention at SDCC 2025.
