Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off next year, treating us to a new big-screen adventure with our favourite subatomic heroes, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will see our heroes face off against classic Marvel comic-book villain Kang the Conqueror, making his feature film debut. Jonathan Majors will portray the nefarious, time-travelling ruler of Chronopolis, with many speculating whether we could also see him return in future films from the current phase. Perhaps Kang will be an overarching villain to match Thanos?

While not revealing too much about the plot of the third Ant-Man film, there is plenty to get excited about. The official synopsis of the film confirms that Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) will return to return to the Quantum Realm to continue their adventures alongside Hope's parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer). While there, they will encounter new creatures and experiences pushing them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

The trailer has a distinct sci-fi look to it, with galactic-style cities, universes and weird alien landscapes. Dare we say"¦ it feels very Star Wars?
