LEGO Star Wars Day 2025 - What's New and How to Display It
The latest list of new LEGO sets for May 2025 is dominated by LEGO Star Wars sets, and that's no coincidence with May 4th (better known as Star Wars Day) fresh in the memory.
In this deep dive, we'll be taking a look at the newest builds from a galaxy far, far away, and some of the best ways to display LEGO Star Wars models once they're complete - including our exclusive custom LEGO display cases for Star Wars helmets, vehicles and other models.
LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship (75409)
Price: $299.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 2,970
Size: 44cm x 39cm x 19cm (L x W x H)
LEGO Insiders Points: 1,950
Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship (75409) is based on the bounty hunter's vehicle from 2002's Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, and is the latest in the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS).
It's complete in just under 3,000 pieces and measures nearly 18 inches in length, with options to display the finished set in flying or landing position. This build was released to the public on Star Wars Day, May 4th 2025, and iDisplayit are working fast on making made-to-measure acrylic stands and a display case for it.
Display cases for LEGO Star Wars 75409
iDisplayit has a choice of a bespoke display stand or case for LEGO Star Wars 75409:
- Acrylic display stand (similar to our stand for LEGO 75243 Slave I - 20th Anniversary Edition)
- Acrylic display case with the LEGO 75409 in flying position
We know how much you all love our LEGO display cases with vinyl backgrounds, so we're also creating some very special backdrop art for this case, to showcase the Starship against the seascape of the ocean planet of Kamino.
Sign up now, and we'll make sure you're the first to know when our custom collectors' display case for LEGO 75409 is released!
Acrylic Displays for LEGO Star Wars 75060
While we're on the subject of bounty hunters, we're also developing a custom display stand for LEGO Star Wars Slave I (75060), a previous instalment in the UCS.
The set itself has been retired, but if you already own it (or you're able to get your hands on it), we want you to be able to showcase Slave I UCS alongside the newer Ultimate Collector models.
Or, why not keep it protected in one of our display cases? We have a choice of the following two displays:
- Acrylic display case with the LEGO 75060 in flying position
- Acrylic display case with the LEGO 75060 in landing position
LEGO Star Wars Helmet Display Cases
A pair of new LEGO Star Wars helmets landed a few days early on May 1st. With Jango Fett and Kylo Ren's headgear both offering fantastic value for money, why not showcase them side-by-side in one of our multiple LEGO Star Wars helmet display cases?
LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett Helmet (75408)
Price: $69.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 616
Size: 21cm x 12cm x 11cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders Points: 455
There's something so satisfying about seeing an iconic LEGO Star Wars helmet set come together. Jango Fett's Helmet is listed as suitable for adult builders, but with 616 pieces, it's a great medium-sized challenge for younger LEGO Star Wars fans too.
With a buildable stand and nameplate, this set makes an excellent centrepiece for any LEGO Star Wars display, and will stand out on a shelf or bookcase in its own right too.
LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren Helmet (75415)
Price: $69.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 529
Size: 18cm x 11cm x 13cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders Points: 455
Skip ahead to 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens and you get the first appearance of Kylo Ren's distinctive Dark Side helmet with its black and silver colour scheme. Special silver-printed elements were made for this set to give it that authentic aesthetic.
Again, there's a brick-built stand and nameplate, allowing you to display this helmet alone or lined up alongside others from the LEGO Star Wars theme.
How to display LEGO Star Wars helmets
We're adding to our line of LEGO helmet display cases all the time, as new sets are released. Because the finished builds are all around the same size, our LEGO Star Wars helmet cases are usually 18 x 18 x 24 cm on the inside, or 20 x 20 x 25 cm on the outside.
If you prefer to house each helmet in its own display case, this means you can line them up all in a row and have your cases the same size.
But if you have multiple helmets, why not put them all on show together? iDisplayit have acrylic display cases for 2, 3, 4 or 5 helmets - perfect for a shelf or bookcase display.
New LEGO Star Wars Vehicles and Characters
We end our round-up of LEGO Star Wars Day sets for 2025 with two vehicles and one very quirky character...!
LEGO Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Starfighter (75399)
Price: $69.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 594
Size: 41cm x 16cm x 9cm (L x W x H)
LEGO Insiders Points: 455
First up, from Star Wars: Andor Season 2, is LEGO Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Starfighter (75399). This buildable spaceship features a swing-wing function, which means you can position the wings for landing or into their V-shaped flight formation.
The set includes 4 LEGO Star Wars characters, with LEGO Minifigure Cassian Andor, Dedra Meero and ISB Tactical Agent, plus a K-2SO LEGO droid figure.
We rate this set very highly - even if you're not a Star Wars fan, it's a fantastic LEGO spaceship!
LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle (75406)
Price: $69.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 386
Size: 13cm x 44cm x 26cm (L x W x H)
LEGO Insiders Points: 455
This LEGO Star Wars build-and-display model was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's an authentic recreation of Kylo Ren's Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle with an impressive 44cm wingspan.
While there are no LEGO Minifigures included with this set, that's normal for the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection, which is made for adult Star Wars fans to put on display. Previous models in the line include LEGO Star Wars 75375 Millennium Falcon and 75376 Tantive IV.
Your choice of where to position the wings will have a BIG impact on the overall height and width of the build. That's why we're working on a bespoke display case for LEGO Star Wars 75406, for both flight and landing mode.
LEGO Star Wars Chopper (C1-10P) Astromech Droid (75416)
Price: $99.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 1,039
Size: Over 22cm tall
LEGO Insiders Points: 650
Last but by no means least is Chopper, the charismatic droid from Star Wars: Ahsoka. He may look like R2-D2 got his head stuck in a bucket, but that's because the character was based on early R2 concept art.
The grumpiest droid in the galaxy has an independent streak longer than the Kessel Run, leading to him being called cat-like. Loyal without question, but dancing to the beat of his own drum. We love him.
This absolute prince of the stars is more than deserving of his own custom display case, which we've got coming soon, adding to our existing line of LEGO Star Wars droid display cases:
- LEGO Star Wars 75187 BB-8 display
- LEGO Star Wars 75379 R2-D2 display
- LEGO Star Wars 75335 BD-1 display
One really cool feature of LEGO Star Wars 75416 is the ability to pose Chopper's arms and fold out his chest tool. You even get a standard-sized Chopper LEGO droid figure to place alongside the information plaque, making this a 2-for-1!
Display It In Style
And that's everything in our round-up - an impressive selection of new LEGO Star Wars sets just in time for May 4th. Remember to sign up now for the bespoke LEGO display cases you're looking for, and we'll make sure you're first in line once we've got them ready!
