Top Ten LEGO Theme Park & Rollercoaster Sets
LEGO theme park sets are always fun and because of how modular they are, you can build up a fantastic display of carnival sideshows, flat rides and midway games, all centred on a soaring rollercoaster track.
But some of the best LEGO rollercoasters and theme park rides have been discontinued over the years, turning them into collectors' items on second-hand LEGO marketplaces like BrickLink.
In this list, we've chosen our top ten LEGO theme park and rollercoaster sets we'd like to see in OUR own LEGO funfair display.
1. LEGOLAND Theme Park Exclusive Set (40346)
LEGOLAND New York Resort: $99.99
Year Released: 2019
Pieces: 1,336
LEGO Minifigures: 11
Size: 48 x 37 x 7 cm
Where better to start than with an official LEGO replica of LEGOLAND itself? In this set, you get the front gate, ticket stand, observation tower, Miniland, food stall, shop, and three rides: pirate, castle and submarine. There's a ton of accessories ranging from a camera and mobile phone through to a broom and waste bin, and even a parrot to perch anywhere in your park.
A really nice finishing touch on this set is the sheet of stickers that allows you to customise the sign over the front gate to match any of the nine global LEGOLAND locations (Billund, California, Deutschland, Dubai, Florida, Japan, Malaysia, New York and Windsor).
If you want a true-to-life LEGO theme park, 40346 LEGOLAND Theme Park Exclusive Set is the obvious choice, with good availability around the $100Â mark.
2. LEGO Loop Coaster (10303)
Current Lowest BrickLink Price: $280.00
Year Released: 2022
Pieces: 3,756
LEGO Minifigures: 11
Size: 92 x 85 x 34 cm
Released in 2022, LEGO 10303 Loop Coaster was the tallest LEGO ride ever at a height of 92cm, which gave the gravity-driven coaster train the momentum it needed to spin through two loop-the-loops as it raced along the track.
We love that this set can be motorised using LEGO Powered UP components, allowing the train to be pulled automatically up the lift. To enable this, you'll need a LEGO Technic Large Motor (88013) and Battery Box (88015).
Another highlight is the 11 LEGO Minifigures, six of which have reversible faces to show their shock or excitement as the coaster drops - perfect to decide exactly how you want to display this set.
The iDisplayit LEGO Loop Coaster display case allows you to do just that. It's built to fit, complete with a sloping top that perfectly matches the shape of the Loop Coaster, and two access doors to turn your coaster on and off.
3. Creator Expert Roller Coaster (10261)
Current Lowest BrickLink Price: $293.00
Year Released: 2018
Pieces: 4,124

The LEGO Creator Expert theme park sets released in the mid-late 2010s are still some of the most iconic and versatile LEGO funfair rides. An excellent centrepiece for any LEGO carnival is Creator Expert Roller Coaster (10261) with a whopping 4,124 pieces and 11 LEGO Minifigures (8 with reversible heads).
A very clever design allows this rollercoaster to run two trains on the same track, complete with lap bar restraints and brakes. The hand-cranked lift hill can be automated using LEGO Powered UP or LEGO BOOST components.
Our high-grade 3mm acrylic display case is custom-made for LEGO 10261 Roller Coaster displays, with a hinged front flap so you can easily access the ride's controls.
4. Creator Expert Ferris Wheel (10247)
Current Lowest BrickLink Price: $297.00
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 2,464
LEGO Minifigures: 10

Every good theme park needs a big wheel, and Creator Expert Ferris Wheel (10247) has the height to hold its own alongside your coaster lift hills. Turn the crank to watch the 12 colourful gondolas complete a 55cm circle and return to the boarding platform.
Again, there are power-up options using LEGO Power Functions M-Motor (8883) and AAA Battery Box (88000). Combined with the coasters we've already listed, that's a lot of movement for your LEGO theme park display!
Once again, iDisplayit have a purpose-built 3mm acrylic display case for LEGO 10247 Ferris Wheel, with an access panel to reach the controls and a choice of black or white base.

6. Creator Expert Carousel (10257)
Current Lowest BrickLink Price: $330.00

It's incredibly ornate, with blue and gold details and reflective panels, as well as five carousel mounts: elephant, flamingo, frog, tiger and swan.
Place your LEGO Minifigure riders on their chosen mounts and turn the handle to start the carousel. Four of the animals (everything but the swan) will move up and down as the carousel spins, for an even more realistic ride. You can even motorise it just like the Ferris Wheel, using LEGO Power Functions M-Motor (8883) and AAA Battery Box (88000).
LEGO Creator Expert Carousel (10257) has a sturdy base, making it a solid choice to put on display. To keep your Carousel safe from dust and damage, place it in a purpose-built acrylic display case, which again includes an easy-access flap to reach the ride controls.

It's a LEGO Powered UP set with a Hub (88009) and Train Motor (88011) built into the tender (the truck behind the locomotive) and controllable via the LEGO Powered Up app. Just add batteries and you're ready to roll!
The station itself measures in at 39 x 36 x 16 cm and includes a ticket counter and cafe, a ceiling chandelier, an exterior balcony and two towers with flags. The standard oval track layout extends the footprint of this set to 96cm long and 70cm wide.
iDisplayt has a custom-designed, high-grade acrylic display case for LEGO Disney 71044 Train and Station, and it is just the right size to contain the station building and the train on a section of track, creating an elegant and eye-catching scene that showcases this set at its best.

There are five LEGO Minifigures to bring the fun to life: an astronaut, a scientist, a dad and two children, along with a ridiculously cute baby astronaut figure who can be placed in a variety of kiddie rides and rocked back and forth.
Each configuration of this 3-in-1 build contains a LEGO Light Brick, a shining finishing touch to a versatile set that will help it stand out in amongst your LEGO theme park rides.

The battery-powered build includes a LEGO Light Brick and a spinning function on the flying chairs carousel, as well as five LEGO Mini-Dolls ready for the ride of their life. There's also a bird, a dolphin, and two skeletons to spook the riders on the haunted pirate ship track ride.

10. Creator 3-in-1 Fairground Mixer (10244)
Current Lowest BrickLink Price: $160.00
Year Released: 2014
Pieces: 1,746

We've seen our share of coasters, so let's end this list with a final flat ride. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Fairground Mixer (10244) is a chaotic roundabout with whirling arms and enough seats for 12 LEGO Minifigures - which just so happens to be how many you get with this set!
The 1,746-piece playset will fire the imagination with its glow-in-the-dark elements, dunk tank and test-your-strength sideshows, and the very neat option to mount the Mixer onto a trailer when it's time for the carnival to move on to a new town.
A fantastic array of characters come with LEGO Creator 3-in-1 10244 Fairground Mixer, with LEGO Minifigures of a juggling stilt-walker, a dunk tank victim (uh, I mean lady), ticket seller, ride operator, strong-man challenger, two boys, two girls, two women and one 'queasy man' who didn't know when it call it quits on the Mixer.
There are two transport trucks - one for the Mixer and one for the sideshows - a working crank to spin the ride, and support for LEGO Power Functions motors to upgrade it to automatic. All in all, it's well deserving of the description 'last but not least' in our top ten LEGO theme park sets.
